Please note that, at least for the moment, TIB-X is not compatible with Apple's Safari Web browser in certain cases. For example, you will find it impossible to upload an item for listing because the text editor will not allow you to enter a description. This is a known issue with the software, and we are trying to rectify it. In the meantime, Mac users will need to download Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox until we have a workaround in place.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the issue resolved soon.

To list your item, follow the steps below:
1) Click on the “Sell” link found on the navigational bar.
2) Select a category in which you would like to list your item. Start in the highlighted box, and drill down through subsequent sub-categories. You can go back at any time via the "Previous Step" navigation button.
You can select a secondary category in which to list your item or skip this step entirely.
3) Enter a title and description for your item. The full WYSIWYG editor allows you to use full HTML descriptions.
If you have a voucher code to redeem this can be entered just below the description field.
4) Set the following:
-
Auction type: Standard (applies to single items); Dutch (if you are selling more than one of the same item)
-
Currency: At this time, TIB-X uses only US dollars, but we may add other currencies later.
-
Quantity: Only active for Dutch auctions.
-
Auction Starts At: Determine a starting bid for your item.
-
Reserve Price: Set a minimum you are willing to accept for your item. Should the reserve not be met, the auction will close without a winner.
-
Buy Out: Set a price for instant buying. Just like the "Buy It Now" feature on other auction sites. "Buy Out Only" auctions are also permitted. Simply set the Buy Out price to be the same as the starting bid.
-
Offer Range: Set a price range in which you are willing to accept offers for your item. You can opt to accept or decline the offer via the Members Area.
-
Bid increment: TIB-X already has automatic bid increments installed for items in various price ranges. But you can opt to set your own custom bid increments if you wish.
-
Item featuring (extra fees may apply): You may highlight your auction in different areas of the TIB-X site and in different ways to ensure they reach more visitors. These features include: Placing your item on TIB-X's home page; placing your item on the main page of your item's Category; Bold text; Highlighted background.
5) Set a start and end time for your auction. You can choose to list your item right away and use pre-defined auction lengths or define your own start and end time.
6) Private auction: Choose this option if you wish to hide your bidders' identities.
7) Upload images to accompany your auction. You may upload three (3) images for free or up to six (6) images for a small fee.
8) Auto Re-List: Choose this option if you wish to have your item automatically relisted when the auction comes to an end. Options are available to allow you to relist your item even if it is sold (handy if you are selling more than one of the same item).
9) Set your shipping and payment preferences including your shipping rates and available methods of delivery. For your convenience, TIB-X offers a full-featured international shipping calculator. You may enter as many different destinations as you wish and set a specific postage rate for each. When your winning bidder checks out, TIB-X automatically calculates the shipping costs based on the bidder's location and adds the correct postage to the invoice.
To add various shipping prices, begin by clicking on the icon to the right of "Postage." This will bring up a drop-down menu of hundreds of countries around the world. Choose a specific location and then set the postage for that location. You can add as many specific locations as you wish simply by clicking on the icon. To delete a location, simply click on the icon to the right of the location.
To set the postage for ANY OTHER location in the world, outside of the specific ones you have already set, use the "World-Wide Postage" field. Here is an example: Create two specific locations, one for the U.S. and one for Canada. Set the U.S. postage to be $5.00 and the Canadian postage to be $8.00. Then set World-wide postage to be $15.00. This will ensure that ANY OTHER country outside of the U.S. and Canada will be charged $15.00.
Via this method, it is very easy to set specific postage amounts for almost any number of locations.
10) Review the listing and make changes if required. (You can always edit your live listings via the Members Area.)
11) Confirm your listing to make the auction go live.
When viewing an item details page, you will have two areas where you can place your bid, one next to the item details and a second at the bottom of the page.
To place your bid simply enter the amount you wish to bid. You will be asked to review your bid and you will also be able to view vital details, such as the seller's shipping conditions, before confirming your bid. To submit your bid simply click the “Place Bid” button.
If your bid is high enough to take the lead in the auction, a confirmation message will be displayed to you. However, if your bid has not taken the lead, you will be invited to make a further bid.
Should you decide to retract your bid, this can be done via the “Current Bids” section of the Member's Area.
You can also place a proxy bid. Proxy bidding allows you to place your highest acceptable bid. At all times, you will only pay the lowest required bid should you win the auction. For example, if the current bid on an auction is $50.00 you can place a proxy bid of $200. Should you remain the only bidder you will only pay $50.00. However should the item receive other bids the site will automatically re-bid for you (up to $200 in this scenario) to ensure you remain in the lead.
The auction watch features notifies you of newly listed auctions which contain keywords you have chosen. You may enter keywords from your Members Area. Each time a new auction containing those keywords is listed, you will be notified via e-mail.
The item watch feature allows you to monitor any auction without having to place a bid on it. This feature keeps you up-to-date on an auction and prepares you to place a winning last-minute bid. You can watch an auction by clicking on the “Watch this item” link on any auction page.
Some sellers offer their items with a “Buy Out” option, allowing you to purchase the item immediately without having to place a bid. You can use this option at any time until a bid has been placed over any applicable reserve price.
The “Buy Out” option will appear on the item details page, you will be asked to confirm your intention to buy the item before the sale is concluded. Buy Outs cannot be retracted.
Because TIB-X is a members-only site, paying one's fees is handled more or less on the honor system. We run our auction software in "account" mode, which means you do NOT have to pay your fees up front. Instead, your fees accrue in your TIB-X account (which you can monitor from the Members Area). If an individual account goes beyond $10, it will be suspended until fees are paid.
It is recommended that you keep a close watch on and maintain your account's Balance in the Members Area so that your account does not become suspended unexpectedly.
It is easy to pay your fees. Simply visit the Members Area and look for the "Credit Your Account" box. Fill in the amount you wish to pay and click "Proceed." You will be taken to the payment gateway page where you can pay your fees online. Please note that, at this time, TIB-X accepts only PayPal payments of fees. Additional payment options may be added in the future. Remember, you can also use PayPal to pay your fees by Credit Card if you do not have a PayPal account. You can also credit your account via this manner in advance, should you wish to increase your credit balance and avoid an unexpected account suspension.
In addition, TIB-X will send you an invoice every month reminding you of your account balance.
