Setting your shipping and payment preferences including your shipping rates and available methods of delivery is very easy. For your convenience, TIB-X offers a full-featured, easy-to-use international shipping calculator. You may enter as many different destinations as you wish and set a specific postage rate for each. When your winning bidder checks out, TIB-X automatically calculates the shipping costs based on the bidder's location and adds the correct postage to the invoice.
To add various shipping prices, begin by clicking on the icon to the right of "Postage." This will bring up a drop-down menu of hundreds of countries around the world. Choose a specific location and then set the postage for that location. You can add as many specific locations as you wish simply by clicking on the icon. To delete a location, simply click on the icon to the right of the location.
To set the postage for ANY OTHER location in the world, outside of the specific ones you have already set, use the "World-Wide Postage" field.
Here is an example: Create two specific locations, one for the U.S. and one for Canada. Set the U.S. postage to be $5.00 and the Canadian postage to be $8.00. Then set World-wide postage to be $15.00. This will ensure that ANY OTHER country outside of the U.S. and Canada will be charged $15.00.
To promote a safe, fair and enjoyable trading experience, TIB-X has established a general set of rules for item listings. These restrictions involve how certain items are described, and practices that would provide an unfair advantage or result in a negative buyer experience. Learning about TIB-X's listing policy before you list an item will help you to avoid unintentionally breaking rules.
Listings must not misrepresent items; use techniques to avoid paying fees; or promote an unfair playing field or an unenjoyable, unsafe, or threatening buying experience. Listings that do not conform to these general concepts will be removed.
At TIB-X, we maintain a legal, professional, non-confrontational environment in which to conduct transactions. We therefore do not permit the listing of the following items:
Adult materials (pornography); alcohol; animals and wildlife; charity or fundraising listings; contracts; counterfeit goods; credit cards; drugs and drug paraphernalia; event tickets; explosives; firearms or weapons; gift cards; hazardous items (such as batteries); multi-level marketing or pyramid programs; prohibited services; real estate; stocks and other securities; stolen property; tobacco.
TIB-X reserves the right to remove any item or listing it deems by its own discretion to be offensive, prohibited, or regulated. The user listing said item could be subject to listing cancellation, limits on account privileges, account suspension, account termination, or other actions, also at the sole discretion of TIB-X.
Because TIB-X is a members-only site, paying one's fees is handled more or less on the honor system. We run our auction software in "account" mode, which means you do NOT have to pay your fees up front. Instead, your fees accrue in your TIB-X account (which you can monitor from the Members Area). If an individual account goes beyond $10, it will be suspended until fees are paid.
It is recommended that you keep a close watch on and maintain your account's Balance in the Members Area so that your account does not become suspended unexpectedly.
It is easy to pay your fees. Simply visit the Members Area and look for the "Credit Your Account" box. Fill in the amount you wish to pay and click "Proceed." You will be taken to the payment gateway page where you can pay your fees online. Please note that, at this time, TIB-X accepts only PayPal payments of fees. Additional payment options may be added in the future. Remember, you can also use PayPal to pay your fees by Credit Card if you do not have a PayPal account. You can also credit your account via this manner in advance, should you wish to increase your credit balance and avoid an unexpected account suspension.
In addition, TIB-X will send you an invoice every month reminding you of your account balance.
TIB-X's main objective is for users to have successful trades. However, the TIB-X site does occasionally experience outages during which bidders cannot place bids or locate items using our Search function. When outages occur that are at least one hour in duration, TIB-X offers this policy to compensate for member inconvenience:
When a hard outage lasts from one to three hours, TIB-X will extend any listings scheduled to end during that outage period or in the hour immediately following the outage accordingly.
If a hard outage lasts longer than three hours, TIB-X will automatically extend all listings for 24 hours.
